2nd Friday Gallery Walk and Art Stroll Night

Tonight is the 2nd Friday Gallery Walk and Art Stroll here in beautiful Mount Dora, Florida
6 ~ 8 p.m.
I'm lucky enough to be the guest artist at Sonya Watson's Studio, Earth Diva Studio, in the Baker Street Galleries at 3rd and Baker (Second floor).

In preparation for this event I have been working on some new work.
Here are just a few of my new pieces.

I have a few of my flowers....

And a few new activities for the robots.....

Robot Goes Camping

Robot Biker

I also have been working on a piece called Generosity.  It is inspired by Mari Henninger's article, The Ghosts of Mastedon's Past: The Care and Feeding of Your Mate which appears in the current issue of the Pulse Magazine.  For online viewing (hurray!) click here.  I really liked the whole article, but the very last paragraph spoke to me very strongly.
Here is a  small snapshot of the final product,
it's not a good photo but it gives the idea.

In it Mari discusses our deep roots to generosity, and how using generosity as a guiding principle to caring for our mates helps create long happy relationships (my understanding).  Research shows that by behaving generously we create the environment for more forgiveness and more affection, all of which is good for our relationships no matter what the stage.

Anyway, I really loved this article and it inspired a lot of thought and some creativity in me.  Thanks Mari!

I also want to mention that this month my work is also in the Serendipity Gallery, right next to Bev Neal's Painting Outside the Lines Gallery, which is another fabulous gallery participating in the Gallery Walk/Art Stroll evening.  I've worked hard to make sure that there is different work there than at Sonya's, so make sure to stop on by.

So,  I hope you come on out tonight and see me.  I'd love to chat, share a snack, and enjoy some time together.
